Prayer Quilt Ministry

The mission of the North Kirklees & Morley Circuit Prayer Quilt Ministry is to pray for those facing difficult situations such as illness or bereavement, and give them a tangible reminder of God’s love and our prayers.

Lap size quilts can be made on request, and on completion placed in Church during the Sunday morning worship. Anyone present is welcome to tie the ties on the quilt and pray for the recipient. The individuals receiving a quilt may be church attendees, their friends or family.

To be part of the team does not require sewing skills. There are many non-sewing tasks required in the process of making a quilt. If you would like to join this ministry or would like to know more, come along on a Monday afternoon from 1:30pm – 3:30pm, email tingleymc@gmail.com, see our Facebook page “Prayer Quilt Ministry” or see our dedicated page on the tingleymc.com website

Pocket Prayer Quilts

The “Pocket Prayer Quilts” were made especially for you to slip in your pocket or to give to someone.

These pockets prayers vary in size (largest approx. 4″ square) and are available to purchase for a suggested donation of £1.50. There are a number available from the Circuit Resource Centre.

The donations will be used to fund future lap size Prayer Quilts as part of our ministry. Each pocket prayer quilt has a small wooden cross inside and comes with the short verse shown below.
